You can trade energy, commerce and goods, and IPOs, and many many SKUs. As a professional trading systems architect and development manager, I have only occasionally daydreamed of such a possibility. It is very startling to see that only 24% of CEO's in India have an MBA. While Technology + Business is the next big thing as maximum number of CEO's globally in this age have a Technology + Business Background & the growing concern whether the job of a CEO will be endangered because of A.I., one must always understand that the reason why people pursue EMBA or MBA later on in their career is because of the tools & techniques they get through which they are able to better execute & monitor things & thereby decide course of action or make decisions. Nearly 30 - 50% of the work of all executive leaders comprise of reviewing the work of their subordinates & believe me even Boards spend maximum time reviewing. Whereas 10 - 20% of the work of leaders are mostly Mentorship & even Boards are involved in Mentorship. While the rest may also link to new products or projects being initiated or looking after the finance & marketing part. So, I think, the most essential skill for leaders is the ability to look at one step backward & onr step forward & the intersection of Leadership & BOD's will automatically be a CEO. The ability to teach automatically makes one a leader which is only possible when we have the right set of data available with us. In U.S. & other European Countries people like to take up teaching assistant jobs at MBA Classes or BBA Classes because firstly they earn some money & secondly they are able to review the work of students & soon after completing their studies they take up the position of Director. While the hierarchy in USA is a bit different & Vice Presidents are generally above Director whereas C Suite Executives are above V.President, they even become Vice President soon. Thus, Monitoring, Reviewing, Providing Feedback & Mentorship is a key responsibility of a TA which occupies most of the time for V.P. or C-Suite Leaders too. I think more & more educational institutions should embrace TA at Institutions too & many US Universities have TA whereas few Indian Universities have started giving TA jobs too. I think what is also important to note is that TA is a versatile job & nearly 50% work in Corporates after having taken up TA positions at Leading Universities in USA & the remaining take Teaching Jobs. So, it opens up both opportunities. Boards Must Elevate Talent Oversight in the Age of AI Disruption!! According to The Wall Street Journal, AI is transforming India's technology outsourcing business, making it urgent for companies to shift to higher-end services. In my view, board focus on AI is still in its early stages, and human capital oversight isn't receiving the same rigor as financial reporting and strategy. My advice to CEOs and Board Directors: 🔍 Apply the same rigorous oversight to human capital as you do to financials. 📈 Plan how you will oversee this new technology domain as AI risks and opportunities grow. During this month's Tech Lunch and Learn, our product manager Shivam and Developers Bhuvana and Vanitha discussed the diagnostic tools used at Sephora stores worldwide. Digital media company Rediff has appointed Vishal Mehta as its new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). The appointment comes after fintech major Infibeam Avenues announced the acquisition of Rediff[dot]com India Ltd. Mehta will succeed Ajit Balakrishnan, who founded the company in 1996. The idea that India's Current account has improved by our own doing is deeply flawed. The upside of software exports is a business cycle and not India's external policy. The inflow of debt capital to safeguard India's financial & capital account is a big gamble. In reality, our BOP quality has deteriorated for exporters. Things which are a policy construct - FDI attractiveness, exports growth and local manufacturing - all are missed opportunities. India's BOP has improved quite a lot but not only because we made efforts to do it. A number of lucky breaks are the key drivers.

Recent findings from the Household Consumption Expenditure Survey (HCES) 2022-23 reveal promising trends: Rising Consumption: Monthly per capita consumption has increased, especially in rural areas. Dietary Shifts: For the first time, food makes up less than 50% of monthly consumption, leading to greater dietary diversity. Nutritional Insights: While improvements in iron intake vary by state, relying solely on cereals isn’t enough. A focus on dietary diversity is essential. These insights call for a deeper exploration of the HCES data to inform effective policy decisions.
