What a pleasure it was to present at this webinar! So often it can feel like you are siloed during a PhD - siloed into research and siloed into a particular field. Never be afraid to take a chance, a risk, a step outside of your comfort zone or to take the road less travelled, sometimes our lateral moves are our best. Always understand the value you can bring and never take rejection personally. Understand your capacity gaps and work out how best to fill and frame them. Be strategic, be tactful, be an advocate for your skills and, most importantly, be proud of your journey. A career is lifelong and it is yours to shape. Dream big, aim high and shoot for the stars, you might surprise yourself where you land.

How does a learner learn how the world of work is organized? How do they learn which industries are aligned to their interests and the ways they want to contribute to their community? Many states align Career Technical Education (CTE) programs to the National Career Clusters Framework, providing a strong foundation for all learners to explore and prepare for the world of work.
