This week we are counting down some of Advance CTE’s top moments of 2024! #5: This year we saw continued formal support for Career Technical Education (CTE) that recognizes CTE’s unique role in education and its tangible contribution to the nation’s workforce talent pipelines. Over 90 members of Congress supported House and Senate resolutions recognizing February as Career Technical Education Month. We also continued to impact CTE’s connection to federal policy on and off Capitol Hill, ranging from additional funding for the Perkins Act, shaping apprenticeship regulations, and testifying on CTE’s next-level in data collection, work-based learning, and more.

At Advance CTE, we believe the best resources are shaped by direct input from the field. To develop our recent publication on Experiential Work-Based Learning (EWBL), we established a shared solutions workgroup earlier this year, bringing together representatives from state education agencies, intermediary organizations, and national non-profits. Their expertise and insights played a key role in shaping the strategies in this resource for expanding and improving EWBL opportunities within career pathways. https://lnkd.in/eW9f6CKF
