The 21st Century or what we call the modern times. Is there still a stigma that an Executive Assistant faced in this current period? Let's be honest, most of the people in different industries actually thinks that an Executive Assistant is just in the company to fetched coffee, answer phone calls or just sit there looking pretty. This is the image of every EA's out there in every parts of the world, and most of the times these are the reason why an EA have a hard time in looking for motivation to pursue this type of career. And there are times that they are facing doubts in themselves and their work. It is very hard to find an EA who actually "click" instantly with their bosses since every personality is different. Sometimes, even though compatibility is present what lacks is the recognition and showing that the work done is actually appreciated. A small child seek recognition in every good or right thing that they have done, what more is an adult person? In my opinion, there are two types of an executive assistant. There is an EA who is at the top of the field- being recognized, included and properly compensated. The other one is the EA at the bottom of the filed- this one is being treated as a receptionist, a figurine, a rank and file employee, not properly compensated and not even appreciated. This means that even in the modern times, half of the executive assistants out there still faces the stigma and that ladies and gentlemen is the reality that we EA's needs to overcome. A hard pill to swallow but we need to have a glass full of motivation, intelligence and skills to gulp it smoothly and without a hiccup.

Common Misconceptions About Executive Assistants There are several misconceptions about the EA role, and it’s important to dispel these myths early on to ensure you approach your job with the right mindset. Myth 1: EAs are “just” secretaries. The truth is, EAs often hold more responsibility than traditional secretaries or administrative assistants. While you’ll certainly be expected to handle basic administrative tasks, you’ll also play a strategic role in helping your executive achieve their goals. EAs are seen as key partners in business operations. Myth 2: EAs don’t need to know much about the business. As an EA, you should strive to understand the industry and company as well as the specific challenges your executive faces. The more you know about the business, the more valuable you become because you can anticipate needs and make informed decisions. Myth 3: EAs don’t have career growth opportunities. Many successful EAs eventually move into higher-level roles such as Office Manager, Chief of Staff, or even Executive roles. Some go on to start their own businesses or work in consulting. Your EA experience can open doors to numerous career paths, provided you continually develop your skills. #misconceptions #ea

I’m NOT just here to make a bigger impact. 😳 I’m here to give other Executive Assistants an opportunity to make a bigger impact WITH me 🚀 I’m here to see every executive assistant in my world, reach their career goals and add big numbers to their annual salary. I’m not talking a couple of EA’s but A LOT. 💥To do this, I created close proximity spaces (1:1 and group programs) with a high level of access, support and guidance to me. Having said this, my clients are smart, intelligent and astute business professionals who are more than capable of doing it alone but instead desire a wing woman 🦹♂️ and a private community (if they prefer a group) of other career growth focused EA‘s. 💥I am here to show the world that EA’s are the ultimate business professional who have the positioning and expertise to pivot their careers in ENDLESS directions, should they desire. 💥To educate as many as possible, that yes, whilst the EA role can be a lifelong career it can also be a stepping stone to something else. 💥I am for those who have courageously decided they want to make a bigger impact, but desire guidance and support because they know it will help them get there faster than if they were to do it alone. The best part? I’m just getting warmed up. Are you with me? We’ve got this 💫 #careercoaching #executiveassistants

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some tips and insights from my journey as an Executive Assistant. This role is super dynamic and requires a blend of skills and adaptability. Here’s what I’ve learned along the way: 1. Anticipating Needs: Instead of waiting for requests, it's important to foresee them. Being proactive is key.. Executive Assistants understand their executives' preferences, work styles, and schedules so deeply that they can predict needs and address them before they even arise. This level of foresight comes from a deep commitment to the role. 2. Going the Extra Mile: Passion drives EAs to go above and beyond their basic job description. Whether it's staying late to finalize a project or coming in early to prepare for an important meeting, a passionate EA is always ready to put in the extra effort. This dedication is what sets them apart from the rest. 3. Communication is Key: Whether it's emails, schedules, or managing crises, clear and effective communication is everything. 4. Master Time Management: Prioritizing is crucial with so many tasks. Develop systems that help you manage time efficiently. 5. Stay Organized: Keep detailed records, maintain a tidy workspace, and find a filing system that works for you. 6. Adaptability: Every day is different. Being flexible allows you to handle unexpected situations smoothly. 7. Discretion and Confidentiality: Trust is fundamental. Handle sensitive information with care and professionalism. 8. Build Relationships: Establish strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors. Being personable and reliable is a game-changer. 9. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest tools and best practices. Always look for ways to improve. 10. Emotional Intelligence: Understand and manage your emotions, as well as those of others, to enhance your working environment. 11. Passion for the Role: Love what you do. Passion drives excellence and inspires those around you. When an EA is truly passionate about their work, it transforms their job into a fulfilling and dynamic career. Passion is the cornerstone of an exceptional EA. Living and learning these principles has helped me succeed and made my journey as an EA fulfilling. Here’s to all the EAs out there striving for excellence every day!💪 #ExecutiveAssistant #CareerTips #WorkLifeBalance #supportleaders #GrowthMindset

Two important things to consider before hiring an Executive Assistant. Getting a hand for those overwhelming tasks is necessary. But before you do so: 1. Know your needs. What are those tasks you need help with? List them out. 2. The goals you want to attain. What are the results you want? Outline them. Having this two at the back of your mind will help you a great deal in getting the right hand for your business. Don't hire an EA until you are clear on this two priorities. If you need a capable hand to help ease your work load, I am here for you ☺️ Send me a direct message TODAY!
