According to Mental Health UK research, one in five adult workers reported taking time off work in the past 12 months due to poor mental health caused by stress. In support of #StressAwarnessMonth, Police Care UK is sharing tips to help you manage your stress levels starting with breathing as a means to help you relax. Tip #1: Breathing
Breathing exercises are a useful technique to help you relax. Give this 4-5-8 technique a try.
Sit or lie down comfortably.
Close your eyes if possible.
Breathe in deeply through your nose for 4 seconds.
Hold your breath for 5 seconds.
Exhale slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds.

Repeat this cycle up to 10 times and focus on your breathing.
