Since 2020, the urgency of creating these healthcare workforce pipelines has only grown more dire. Staff burnout, retirements, the cost of higher education, and a number of other factors are all contributing to a lack of people pursuing health professions. To meet growing national healthcare demands, the programs we implement fill immediate community needs while simultaneously facilitating national service opportunities for the next generation of doctors, social workers, community health workers, social service professionals, dentists, dental hygienists, psychologists, therapists, physician assistants, CNAs, APRNs, sterilization techs, and SO MANY more! This simple, but powerful message, captures the reason the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth founded Mount Saint Vincent in 1883. It's the reason that continues to inspire our work.
