🌟 One of the things I love about London is the incredible diversity of this city. Unfortunately, that diversity is rarely reflected in the VC & startup ecosystem. 71% of VC Partners in the UK are privately educated, in comparison to 7% of the general UK population. And when having a degree from the same school increases the probability that an investor will invest in a founder by 34.4%… well, that doesn't exactly foster diversity, does it? 🤦♀️ But don’t worry, this is a solvable problem. >> Join us this Thursday morning in Shoreditch to the launch of our Founders’ Engagement Toolkit! 👉 🎟 https://lnkd.in/ebdTM8m5 << At Diversity VC we have spent the last few months developing a toolkit to help VC funds to build more inclusive and diverse pipelines, as well to support their portfolio companies to in building DE&I into their day to day. (Huge shout out to Nina Slingsby & Sarah Millar 🙌 for leading the charge) The resulting Founders’ Engagement toolkit is full of action steps any VC can take, as exemplified through case studies of our member funds. Hope to see you Thursday at the launch! **Space are limited and this event is exclusive for investors, founders, and ecosystem builders. #venturecapital #vc #london #londonevents #londonvc #dei #diversityequityinclusion #diversityvc #founders #femalefounders #entrepreneurship #investinwomen #diversitywins #diversityintech
