Moving towards a more sustainable future with solutions from nature? We need to rethink our food systems and introduce new products and solutions in order to meet the worlds' major challenges when it comes to food. To transition to a more sustainable global food system, we need concrete solutions that will allow us to address issues such as: ✅ reducing methane emissions from cattle’s digestive processes, ✅ introducing plant-based alternatives to meat, ✅ promoting food production that demands less land and makes room for biodiversity, ✅ countering food waste, ✅ exploiting side streams from food production ✅ replacing traditional fertilizers and plant protection products with biologically based solutions. “Bioosolutions are based on nature's own tools and can be applied on an industrial scale. And in this way enzymes, pheromones, fermentation, biorefining as well as bacterial cultures can be used to drive the transition from a fossil-based towards a more bio-based economy,” says Jeppe Juul Petersen, Regional Team Leader in CEE for Food and Agriculture.
