Just call it protein. I ducked into this talk at the last minute and am so glad I did. What an incredibly knowledgeable panel from Synthesis Capital, Good Food Institute Europe, Anthesis Group, Forum for the Future and FAIRR Initiative. Our food system needs help to become more secure for future generations and reduce emissions. They agreed the approach must be diverse and inclusive, ensuring farmers are not shamed or diverted from what they are good at. The only real enemy here is factory farming and over reliance on a small number of proteins. We need to mix it up and keep it affordable. #innovationzero #altprotein #foodsecurity #netzero #plantbased #carbonneutral #sustainability #sustainable

STgenetics - committed to sustainably feeding the world! During the recent Agroleite 2024 in Brazil, STgen™ CEO Juan F. Moreno discussed that commitment. “I estimate that as a company, and with all producers working together, we have the responsibility to feed 7.5 billion people in the world. As the population grows, so will the demand and production of food, and animal protein production for consumption is crucial for the health of consumers worldwide.” STgenetics is tirelessly working on sustainability tools to produce milk with less environmental impact. Producing more food with less ecological footprint is what we want. EcoFeed® progenies use fewer feed resources, and they also lower GHG emissions and reduce water consumption to produce milk and meat, more efficiently generating profits, meaning less waste and a reduced carbon footprint! STgenetics: the best way to predict the future is to create it! #STgenetics #EcoFeed #FeedConversionEfficiency #GHG #Sustainability #FeedingtheWorld

Moving towards a more sustainable future with solutions from nature? We need to rethink our food systems and introduce new products and solutions in order to meet the worlds' major challenges when it comes to food. To transition to a more sustainable global food system, we need concrete solutions that will allow us to address issues such as: ✅ reducing methane emissions from cattle’s digestive processes, ✅ introducing plant-based alternatives to meat, ✅ promoting food production that demands less land and makes room for biodiversity, ✅ countering food waste, ✅ exploiting side streams from food production ✅ replacing traditional fertilizers and plant protection products with biologically based solutions. “Bioosolutions are based on nature's own tools and can be applied on an industrial scale. And in this way enzymes, pheromones, fermentation, biorefining as well as bacterial cultures can be used to drive the transition from a fossil-based towards a more bio-based economy,” says Jeppe Juul Petersen, Regional Team Leader in CEE for Food and Agriculture. See some cases from Danish biosolutions in agriculture and food: https://lnkd.in/dW54NmfP 💡 For more information about the Danish experiences with biosolutions in agriculture and food, reach out to Jeppe Juul Petersen. #DenmarkInPoland #GreenDK #Biodiversity #FoodProduction #Agriculture
