🚗⚡️🔋 How Can Automakers Stand Out and Sell More EVs? 🚗⚡️🔋 Really enjoyed my conversation with John McElroy, Loren McDonald and Matt Teske on today's episode of the Grid Connections podcast. We looked back at some of the predictions we had for EVs and the #EV industry in 2024. We reviewed our previous predictions for the EV market in 2024. Some of our forecasts have come true, while others (including mine) were a bit off. 🤷♂️ In this clip, we delve into the challenges automakers face in aligning their core brand identities and engineering strengths with the shift to electrification. Without a clear EV-focused brand positioning, it's not only tougher for manufacturers to deliver a compelling product, but also harder to effectively market its benefits to consumers. #ElectricVehicles #EV #AutomotiveIndustry #Sustainability #Innovation #EVMarketing #FutureOfMobility

This collection of voices from the EV industry is always a lot of fun to engage with. Thank you to Chase Drum for the invitation to once again be on the Grid Connections podcast alongside Loren McDonald and John McElroy to discuss the halfway point of 2024 and where our predictions for this year landed. I was concerned at the beginning of the year that EV hype would lose steam and in ways we're seeing that, but it only invites the opportunity to be more thoughtful in how we position EVs to the general public. We are past the early adopters, so now is time to get serious about how we show everyone how EVs fit into their lives in a way that it easy to understand. That means focusing on the "electric fuel" experience, not just trying to sell cars that run on electricity. #chargeway #electriccars #electricvehicles #electricfuel #evcharging #charginginfrastructure #chargingstations #chargingstation #energy #energysector #cleanenergy #utilities #utilityindustry #evsales #autosales #communication #customerexperience #userexperience

🔋 What does the future look like for Electric Vehicles? Recently, my colleague Brian Collie, Senior Partner & Managing Director, sat down with Georgie Frost, host of BCG’s So What? podcast, to discuss where the industry is headed. Although the road is winding, there's much to look forward to! 📈 Sales in the US grew by 50% in 2023 and according to BCG research, almost 40% of the population in the US plans to buy an electric vehicle as their next car. In Europe, we believe that battery electric vehicles will account for 55-60% of new vehicle sales by 2030. 🎧 Listen to the full podcast here to learn more about what the future holds for EVs: https://lnkd.in/griX56um #ElectricVehicles #BCGAuto
