Here’s Why It’s Crucial To Empower Women in Tech: In light of Women’s History Month, we want to empower women and show our appreciation for all women professionals. We’re sharing this inspirational Ted Talk by Ayumi Moore Aoki, in our comments. Ayumi founded Women of Tech, a network promoting technology careers. Ayumi talks about the problematic biases about women in technology, why we need more women in the industry, gender injustice, and ways to support and embrace diversity. Curious about remote tech opportunities? Check out our TeleSolv job network, by clicking our website on our profile (or in the comments!) #womenshistorymonth #technology

Where the heck are the women in tech? Tackling gender disparity in the tech industry has never been more important – or more urgent. But how can we encourage women to embrace this traditionally male-dominated field? Check out highlights from our recent webinar with IMD's Head of Innovation Sarah Toms to explore the benefits of a diverse workforce, the importance of mentorship and sponsorship, and the danger of unconscious biases. Where the heck are the women in tech? In the coming years, the tech gap will widen to millions of jobs, with way more jobs than talent to fill them. Gender parity would solve the problem overnight. In this IMD webinar this week, I shared recent studies on where we are with #womenintech, how to attract our girls into this amazing field, and how I use unconscious bias to my advantage.

International Women's Day 2024 Today, we join the global community in celebrating the coming International Women's Day, a day to honour the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world. We are proud to be a tech company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion in our culture and our products. We believe that technology can be a powerful tool for social change and innovation, and that women have a vital role to play in shaping the future of tech. That's why we are committed to supporting and empowering women in tech, both within our company and beyond. Women make up over 45% of our managers, and we are constantly striving to increase their representation and leadership at all levels. We also partner with organizations that promote women's education and participation in STEM fields, such as Women in Transport. However, we also recognize that there is still a long way to go to achieve gender parity and inclusion in the tech sector and in society at large. Women in tech face many barriers and biases, such as the gender pay gap, the lack of mentorship and role models, the underrepresentation in decision-making positions, and the harassment and discrimination in online and offline spaces. That's why we are not only celebrating women's achievements today, but also raising our voice and taking action to challenge the status quo and drive positive change. We are inspired by the theme of this year's International Women's Day: #InspireInclusion. Inclusion means that everyone, regardless of their gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other aspect of their identity, is valued, respected, and given equal opportunities to thrive. Inclusion means that we listen to diverse perspectives, learn from different experiences, and collaborate across boundaries. Inclusion means that we are stronger together. We invite you to join us in this journey of inspiring inclusion, not only today, but every day. Here are some ways you can get involved: Share your story of how you or someone you know is making a difference in tech as a woman or an ally. Use the hashtags #IWD2024 and #InspireInclusion and tag us ITO WORLD. Learn more about the history, achievements, and challenges of women in tech by reading, watching, or listening to some of the resources https://lnkd.in/eBFWt7nF. Support the work of organizations that are advancing women's rights and empowerment in tech and beyond. Take the #iwd2024 pledge to inspire inclusion in your personal and professional life, and encourage others to do the same. Together, we can forge a more inclusive, diverse, and innovative tech sector and society. Happy International Women's Day!
