“I've had the pleasure of working with Rick at various points in my career, and he's always under-promised and over-delivered every step of the way. Rick is obsessively detailed-oriented, has the most insane work ethic I've ever seen (12 am emails followed up by a 5 am email response have often left me wondering if he ever sleeps, and if so, in what time zones?). Rick has awesome game design skills, encyclopedic knowledge of ever relevant game in various canons, and is never afraid to jump into a new subject matter and research the minutae of various ancient civilzations, modern mobster culture, or anything in between. Can't recommend him enough for anything design or production related in the game business.”

Activities and Societies: Games on a paper output device that was a timeshare with Dartmouth. Tag-Teamed with the future King Abdullah of Jordan for time on playing Oregon Trail, Luner Lander and Star Trek, et al. Some guy nicknamed Abby was a Star Trek fan, as you may have noted from his time on the show. Grin.

T'was refreshing to go to a school that had male and female student bodies.
Dated Hunter S. Thompson's sister-in-law?
Oddly enough he was a difficult fellow to be around, at the time. -

Activities and Societies: Voracious collector of Info, mainly to use for life, music, AI, tech, cooking, amusement, hockey, visual devices, audio devices, green-lifestyles, and even the Games Biz. Lately? Very much focused upon community/cooperation/multiplayer games, green, social-equity, climate-equity, energy justice, psychometrics, toxicity/work/life balance/esport.:) Did I mention hockey? ;)
Too useful to quit.

Activities and Societies: It's not just a job, it's an adventure! Was a member of the Navy Blue Jacket Choir? Singing live in a full ballpark used to stink. Sadly, I still sing, and have been accused of being good.

Vermont had horrible acid-rain, and smog from millwork, factories, and NYC even.
You could feel it, taste it, see it--until the later part of the 70's when you could drink from small brooks safely again.
Today it is microscopic plastic rain.
We can deal with climate emergencies properly. We shall achieve.
Right here, and right now.

Phantasy Star IV : The End of the Millennium (Offical Players Guide)
Infotainment World Books (GamePro/IDG West New Temporary Name)
Officially. Overseen. Sega Japan. Sega USA, Sega Europe. Individually. About a Terabyte (look at the publication date) of EPS Maps--handmade out of individual screens in addition to a walk-through of the most distance in a cartridge game to-date. In a word? Ack. Per an Amazon Customer who gave it five stars on the resale market? " April 14, 1999
This is probably the best phantasy star guide for the star game ever." (Snort).

I also took a flat fee on this, but ya know? It helped this now-long-ago only-parent buy his second house.

Previous to games I was in the USN (in a subset called the Gator Navy), and won a fair number of Honors and Awards, but the medals for participating in wars-not-labeled-as-such were the biggies. Humanitarian awards (among others) for things done numerous times in Beirut. We got to help free the island nation of Grenada (First Monday of August,/Emancipation Day!) on a small side-trip on the way back to Beirut.
