Something a bit different. In this video, I demonstrate how voiceover artists will interpret scripts in different styles and tones. Here, I take corporate script read it in three different styles, to show what may be asked of us, whether we are self recording or having a client direct us on a live session. The first style is more formal and corporate. The second is in a conversational, relaxed and friendly style and the third is more of a cool, promo tone. Do you prefer to listen? Or to watch? As an audio geek, I do love to listen and think about how sound can be so beautifully crafted together. But when it came to my animation reel, I felt that in order to help visualise my character, I needed an avatar. Something for me to work with when developing the character. And it lets clients get a visual idea of the sorts of characters I can and do voice. With the help of the very talented Alice Williams (not on LI but her Instagram handle is @alic.williams.art) I think she captured what my voice was conveying. She's rather good...
