Each catastrophic event comes with a financial and personal toll on those impacted. People may not have the means to keep up with essential fiscal responsibilities such as their mortgage or car payments. Our office is asking insurers to extend additional living expenses for wildfire victims and provide more time for people to get back on solid financial footing. While many policies offer additional living expenses that provide funds that cover temporary housing, these benefits usually end after 12 months.
