About us

VetProCentral is a full-service search and recruiting firm serving the veterinary industry. We partner with employers seeking to fill positions for associate, specialty, and emergency veterinarians, as well as practice managers, and hospital administrators. Our client base spans from coast-to-coast, including Canada, and ranges from small neighborhood clinics to large 20+doctor emergency & specialty hospitals. We work with both corporate consolidators and privately owned veterinary practices. What Sets Us Apart from The Pack? Exclusivity, confidentiality, and a dynamite guarantee! We work exclusively with veterinary hospitals, veterinarians, practice managers, and hospital administrators to find the best fit for all involved parties. We will not ‘over sell’ hospitals to our candidates, nor will we ‘over sell’ candidates to our clients. A successful long-term relationship is more important than a quick placement. This philosophy has served us, and our clients, very well since 1992. The details of every client (hospital name, street address, etc) is kept confidential as dictated by the client. Candidates can engage with our staff - privately - on a confidential basis where communication is handled predominately by phone. We guarantee all placements and provide support to placed candidates for the first full year. Our results speak for themselves as we’ve had to replace few candidates in the last twenty-five years. Most placements result in long-lasting and mutually beneficial employment relationships. How We Do It: Relationships built on decades of quality service and trust. In addition to our reputation for achieving results, we have a network of industry connections and thousands of names in our private database.   • Let me hear your thoughts on this! If I had the time, I would conduct such a survey just in our industry. And, break it down by titles within veterinary industry too! Would be interesting read. I wonder if AVMA has done this or AAHA? If so, please direct me to it! Maybe Brakke Consulting has done?

    Would love everyone's input regarding a recently read a survey by ResumeTemplates about job seekers. Nothing new really but still interesting and a nice reminder. A little less than 2000 surveyed in October 2024. No idea how many/if any were in the veterinary industry. Survey results: More than half of US workers surveyed,  about 56%, intend to pursue new job opportunities in 2025, and 27% have already engaged in a job search. The survey found one in three respondents would leave their current role without securing another offer. (I found this surprising). Twenty-one percent said they were not very likely to quit without another offer in hand, and 17% said they were not likely to quit at all. (My input: We see this all the time, some people just want to see what “is out there” and sometimes to use another job offer as a way to ask current employer for a raise!) Low pay was cited by 40% of workers as the top reason for leaving their current job. Top priorities for job seekers when considering a position include: Work-life balance, 99% Job security, 98% Interest in the work, 97% Higher salary, 95% Better benefits, 93% Company culture, 92% Flexible hours, 90% Opportunities for career growth, 89% Remote work options, 67%.   (My input, We continually see this in talking with candidates, especially in these years since Covid.)

    Job seekers' frustrations are real, and it's crucial for employers and recruiters to listen. I recently witnessed an instance where a job seeker clearly stated their preference for a specific location and position. Shockingly, out of 15 outreach attempts, only one matched the criteria. It's essential to pay attention to what candidates want and deliver relevant opportunities.
