We're still reminiscing over this week's event in partnership with Searchlight Pictures in celebration of its latest film NIGHTBITCH, starring Amy Adams. The film portrays a woman who pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mom, but soon her domesticity takes a surreal turn. After a movie screening and panel discussion moderated by our co-founder Rebecca Parekh, where Amy Adams, Director Marielle Heller and NIGHTBITCH Author Rachel Yoder discussed the themes of motherhood and identity that are raised in the film, guests came to THE WELL New York for an after-party complete with specialty sake cocktails, such as the Holiday Daiquiri, and canapés like Kimchi Grilled Cheese and Mushroom & Squash Tostadas. Collaborative pieces created especially for the NIGHTBITCH release by Lingua Franca, handmade cashmere knitwear, and Hatch, maternity pajama specialists, were on display alongside our curated selection of wellness products, chosen by our practitioners, specifically to support postpartum maternal and mental wellbeing. We love bringing guests into our club to build community and help people more easily integrate wellness into their everyday. As health-minded individuals increasingly seek holistic lifestyles, THE WELL New York continues to be a space for people to foster connections, promote wellness and prioritize their mental, spiritual and physical well-being. We look forward to continuing the conversation and building a safe space for moms with our new series: "The NIGHTBITCH Talks: What Your Mother Didn't Tell You About Motherhood," through December and January. We invite you to join a like-minded community of moms who want to remain committed to their children without losing connection to themselves, for an evening of libations and real-talk conversations inspired by the film. Guided by Lia Avellino, LCSW, mother of three and Director of Head & Heart at THE WELL, these conversations will serve as a release valve, providing space to sift through the challenges of motherhood, tune out the noise of parenting advice and focus on a mother's inner knowing of their and their kids' needs, expressing raw emotions in a judgment-free zone. Join us on December 18th and on January 8th & 22nd. These talks are open to members and non-members alike.
