We are proud to launch our updated methodology, Project Frame Methodology: Evaluating GHG Impact for Early Stage Investments! 🎉 An evolution of our 2023 guidance, Pre-Investment Considerations, this update takes us a step further by refining the original guidance based on community feedback,  embedding optional adjustment factors, and providing guidance for assessing realized impact and reporting.    This release also invites you to take your learnings further with our additional resources. These supplemental readings—designed to complement each section of our methodology—expand upon the guidance to explain the why and how behind essential steps, such as defining scopes of analysis, and exploring complementary frameworks, like life cycle assessments. This science-backed and consensus-based guidance is the result of 22 months of work, involving more than 31 Content Working Group Members, 36 focus group participants, and three external reviewers. We were honored to host a two-part panel at the Trellis Group's VERGE 2024 this fall, entitled, “Achieving Speed and Scale: Financial Tools for Catalyzing FOAK Climate Projects.” The sessions explored solutions to the commercialization gap, with insights from startup leaders, corporates, and catalytic capital experts. Introducing our 2024-25 Content Working Groups! Frame’s newest Case Studies Working Group, co-led by Climate Collective, is convened to create forward-looking emissions impact case studies of climate solutions deploying in Asia and the Global South that will also examine adaptation and resilience co-benefits in a structured manner. Our new Methodology Working Group, administered in close collaboration with WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the newly formed Impact Convergence Forum, is dedicated to expanding upon our current guidance to include best practices for later-stage investors and companies. With more than 50 organizations involved—our largest cohort to date!—we are hopeful that we will create resources that meet the real-world needs of those who strive to deploy capital to solutions that have the potential to ensure a livable planet. The conversations around decarbonizing heavy industry continue to build, especially with respect to first-of-a-kind (FOAK) deployments of emerging technologies. When Via delivered our FOAK system we prioritized: 1. Value creation - delivering energy/chemical savings and operational flexibility to the customer, with no green premium 2. Time - delivering the system as quickly, and safely, as possible 3. Scale - delivering a system of relevant scale that retires technology risk for the industry Via is excited to publish our results outlining the first 6 months of operations at this deployment, dubbed Project Kodiak. The Via system has operated safely and reliably at this customer site while showcasing a 76% reduction in energy demand compared to the incumbent process.
