We at NALSC: the National Association of Legal Search Consultants are thrilled to announce the availability of the new Universal Lateral Partner Questionnaire (U-LPQ). The purpose of the U-LPQ is to minimize inefficiency in the lateral partner recruiting and hiring process, conserve all parties’ time and resources, enable more choices for candidates and law firms, streamline the often burdensome and duplicative LPQ process, and provide crucial partner data in the most accurate manner. #legalrecruiter #law #lawfirms #lawpartners #lateralhires

It’s unfortunate that the holiday season can bring additional stress along with the festivities, especially for those in high-pressure professions like the law. It’s crucial to know how to help not just yourself but also others in times of crisis. Joe Ankus, President of Attorney Mental Health Education, Inc. and President of Ankus Consulting, Inc., discusses specific tools and strategies for dealing with stress during the holidays and beyond in his conversation with NALSC: the National Association of Legal Search Consultants Vice President of Long Range Planning, Jordan Abshire of Abshire Legal Search, LLC in the latest episode of the NALSC: the National Association of Legal Search Consultants podcast series, “Recruiter Stories” at https://buff.ly/3N40WPz. Joe strongly recommends that we program the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline into our cellphones, and check out the resources at NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, which has a helpline at 800-950-6264. Both Joe and Jordan agree that mindfulness, breathing techniques, and learning to expand the stimulus-response gap, the space where people can choose their responses instead of reacting impulsively, are helpeful tools to use in moments of high stress. Joe reminds us that “feelings are not facts” and that “selfcare is not selfish.” You must take care of yourself before you can help others. Please do yourself, your colleagues, and your loved ones a favor and listen to this important episode https://buff.ly/3N40WPz and have a safe and sane holiday season! #nalsc #mentalhealth #wellness #stressmanagement #legalrecruiting

Want a signing bonus from your next employer? Some recruiters think that you should just hang tight a little while. This article predicts that, “While sign-on bonuses remain uncommon for now, an expected M&A rebound in 2025 due to lower interest rates and reduced antitrust enforcement could push firms to further incentivize lateral moves.” https://buff.ly/4f93Ssb Do you think signing bonuses are coming back? #nalsc #legalrecruiting #lawjobs #legaljobs #jobsearchtips
