When a customer shops for an electric or PHEV vehicle, they’ll often see one of two range figures: EPA range or manufacturer range. What is the difference? 🌏 EPA Range is based on standardized tests by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), reflecting typical driving conditions. 📝 Manufacturer Range is often released before EPA range, and is based on ideal conditions and internal tests, which can differ from EPA-certified figures. Key Differences: - EPA uses controlled tests, while manufacturers may focus on ideal conditions. - Manufacturers often release estimates before EPA certification is complete, which can give customers an idea of a vehicle’s range, however can also cause discrepancies. Our recommendation for dealers? Always check if the range you are presenting to customers is EPA-certified for the most accurate info. By understanding the differences, you can help customers choose a vehicle with greater confidence, knowing how it will perform in real life scenarios. 💡 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄? Women influence up to 85% of car-buying decisions, yet many dealerships overlook this crucial demographic! So, how can dealers better connect with female buyers? According to Alison Spitzer's opinion piece on Automotive News, aligning marketing strategies with women's preferences, such as trust, community engagement and practical car features, is one way. Social media is also playing a pivotal role in changing how we think about the customer journey: shifting from a funnel model to an infinity loop, where car buyers cycle through inspiration, exploration, community and loyalty phases. What strategies are you adopting today to attract more women buyers? 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/g7ESuxKb #automotive #dealerships #marketing
