Your team member keeps missing deadlines, hurting productivity. How can you effectively address this issue?
Be Kind. In my experience the majority of people want to do a good job. You need to chat to them and find out what’s going on. Then find a way to support them to get the results they need. This could be 1. Giving them some temporary leeway to help them deal with a situation they may be facing - (remember life can be tough) 2. Making some reasonable adjustments if they have a disability 3. Buddying/support to help them to meet the requirements 4. If they’re really just in the wrong job attempt to find them something which suits them better. Finding agreed strategies to resolve the situation is the key here.

Facing resistance from top-level managers during a strategic shift?
Usually resistance to change is experienced because the people involved fear they will lose something. This fear of loss could be many aspects but often it’s to do with status or security in some way. It’s really key in the very early stages to: 1. Draw out and acknowledge fears and concerns. 2. Find ways to reframe those fears and concerns - where possible mitigate them. 3. Use “what if” to help them to face their fears and help them pivot to solution mode. 4. Find a new narrative which provides win/win outcomes which can develop a new direction and loosen resistance.

What do you do if you want to accelerate your career growth through executive coaching?
There are some really concrete reasons why anyone who wishes to progress can benefit from executive coaching. Not only because it creates a space to actually break through the norm our brains are actually wired to benefit from coaching. Here’s how https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/5-ways-neuroscience-shows-leaders-need-coach-christina-lattimer-vpzhe/?trackingId=S3DX7%2FM1TOeXBbzEGJuqXg%3D%3D

How can you identify areas where team members are not ready for promotion using performance evaluations?
The problem with evaluation is that it can be treated as a process and it is historical. Performance feedback should be given in real-time. To bring feedback alive for leader and team member it should be a story celebrating progress and learning opportunities. Then to wrap up with some intrinsically motivated challenges for both.
