How difficult is the security configuration for companies that are implementing D365 F&O?
My impression is that many organisations struggle with security roles in their D365 F&O implementation. One could argue that the complexity of security in D365 F&O has grown so much to become its own process stream. Yet I see a lot of companies settling for a “good enough” approach, with loose access and poorly designed roles. This causes a bunch of issues after go-live (and sometimes even already during the implementation itself). Examples are: 1. Managing roles becomes convoluted and time-consuming 2. Users are dissatisfied by insufficient or excessive access 3. Auditors complain vocally about lack of traceability Is it just my impression? What do you think?
