Glanville, from whom Cibrian filed for divorce from in 2009 after revealing his romance with Rimes, said the trio has finally embraced their status as a “modern family,” on SiriusXM’s Conversations with Maria Menounos. “We have to be a unit, three of us,” she said, noting that after “moments of not putting the kids first and not being proper adults,” they realized to prioritize Cibrian and Glanville’s sons, Jake Austin, 9, and Mason Edward, 13, over their own drama. “I think that I’ve acted like a child enough during the seven years,” Glanville, 43, admitted. “As the kids are getting older – something did happen with one of them, and I don’t really want to go into it, but it made the three of us, Eddie, LeAnn and myself, realize we have to be together on this.” RELATED VIDEO: Brandi Glanville Takes a Huge Spill Off Her Hoverboard! She continued, “We have to stick together in order to keep these little boys in line and to keep them from not manipulating us against each other, and we need to be together for them.” While the group doesn’t spend holidays together – “yet” – Glanville shared that they spend the children’s birthdays as a family. “I think that LeAnn finally realizes that I don’t want your man,” she said. “That’s all done, but we can all still get along and be friends, and so we are.” Still, the separation is hard on Glanville: “Holidays are sometimes those nights that I cry myself to sleep.” She has hope, however, that she, Rimes and Cibrian will eventually reach a better arrangement. The star recently opened up about the aftermath of Cibrian’s affair with Rimes on an episode of new reality show Famously Single. “I trusted him completely and fully,” she said. “Then I went to visit him on a movie set and for the first time I felt like something was going on with the person that he was acting with. He told me I was crazy. That morning I get a call from a b—– mom that I’m not really friends with and she’s like, ‘Have you seen the [tabloids]?’ ” It was her sons, once again, that helped Glanville pull through. “I had to take care of two kids,” she said. “It wasn’t about me any more. I knew it had to be done.” Famously Single airs Tuesdays (10 p.m. ET) on E! Close
