Teddi Mellencamp is making her split from Edwin Arroyave official.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage on Nov. 1, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Though the divorce papers were filed on Nov. 1, just one day before she publicly announced the news on social media, Mellencamp, 43, listed their separation date as Oct. 20.

The reality star and mother of three asked for spousal support to be awarded to her, but requested to terminate the court’s ability to award support to Arroyave, 47. She also requested primary legal and physical custody of their three kids — Slate, 12, Cruz, 10 and Dove, 4 — with “reasonable and frequent” visitation for Arroyave, and that he be responsible for all attorney’s fees and costs.

Per the docs, the former couple's property assets and debts are "unknown at this time" and will be determined at a later date.

On Nov. 2, Mellencamp announced that she and Arroyave were separating in an Instagram post and emphasized the importance of putting their children first through the transition.

“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the reality star wrote in her statement. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”

"Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do,” she continued, “But in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I have felt being open, honest, and vulnerable is the best path forward.”

On Nov. 3, Arroyave shared a cryptic post about how he was doing on his own Instagram. In one screenshot of an app that detailed his sleep schedule, it showed he received nine hours and 10 minutes of sleep with an "optimal" sleep score.

"I recently spoke about just getting 3 hours of sleep a night,” he wrote in a caption. "Finally got some rest!"

He later shared another photo, this time a selfie of himself at a hot yoga studio.

"You’re not always going to be motivated or inspired. That’s where rituals & habits come in," he wrote.

The Eds podcast host continued: "Having good habits is what will get you through your dark days. It’s when you’re under pressure that your true character is revealed."

In the past, Mellencamp, who is the daughter of singer John Mellencamp, opened up about how Arroyave didn’t believe in marriage when the two first met.

“He came home and he had tears in his eyes, and I had never really seen him cry before," Mellencamp said in a 2019 interview with Yahoo Lifestyle. "And he just put a blank check down on the bedside table, and he was like, ‘Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I love you and I went to go buy the ring today. I’m sorry. I just don’t believe in marriage and I don’t want you to break up with me.' "

“I felt like the life had just been sucked out of me," she recalled.

The founder and CEO of Skyline Security quickly changed his mind and asked Mellencamp to marry him the next day, on Christmas Eve.

“Your mind plays tricks on you, and at the end of the day, I knew that this was the girl that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with,” Arroyave explained in the same Yahoo interview.
