Mindy Kaling

Vera Mindy Chokalingam, known as Mindy Kaling, is an American actress, writer, director, comedian, author and producer. She first rose to fame for writing, producing, and acting as Kelly Kapoor on the hit NBC show The Office. In 2012, she created and starred in the Fox comedy series The Mindy Project that ran until 2017. She has also created a number of other shows including Champions, Never Have I Ever, and The Sex Lives of College Girls. Her memoirs, Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) (2011) and Why Not Me? (2015), were New York Times bestsellers. Kaling has two children and has chosen not to reveal the identity of their father.
