Mindy Kaling Celebrates Christmas on the Beach with Her Daughter Kit and Son Spencer

Mindy Kaling is celebrating a festive holiday season with her two kids.

On Tuesday, the Never Have I Ever creator, 44, shared a few photos with her daughter Kit, 5, and son Spencer, 3, as her family of three celebrated Christmas together. Posting a photo from the beach at sunset on Instagram, Kaling's kids can be seen playing in the sand and staring at the water.

"A broken plastic shovel, a cement mixer, a @harrypotter wand from @katelinden + the beach at sunset was a terrific Christmas! Merry Christmas to all! 🎄❤️🥰," she wrote in her caption.

Earlier this month, Kaling shared an Instagram video montage of clips from her family's Thanksgiving celebration in the Big Apple with short clips of her two kids.

"Seriously needed this trip to New York with the family. I feel like Michael Scott saying this but man this is the most special city,” Kaling captioned the post, referring to Steve Carell's The Office character.

“The kids saw their first Broadway show, skated at @wollmanrink, had drippy hot cheese at the Bryant Park holiday fair, went on the subway, Central Park carousel, ate Lilac chocolates, and even somehow made public bathroom trips fun. Thanks New York!" 

On Halloween, Kaling shared some adorable photos of her two kids on her Instagram Story as they celebrated the spooky holiday. In the picture, Kit dressed up as Princess Tiana from Disney's The Princess and The Frog, while Spencer went as a firetruck.

The family enjoyed trick or treating together, with Kaling donning a Cookie Monster mask for the outing.

While appearing on the iHeartPodcast Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi in September, the Office alum creator chatted with host Bruce Bozzi about what led her to want to become a mother.

"My kids are such a huge part of my life and I knew growing up, I was always obsessed with romantic love and obsessing about boys," Kaling said. "Even when I was like, 13 or 14 years old. I was never someone that boys wanted to date or do anything with, so it sort of made the passion and interest more intense, if that makes sense."

"I was very boy-crazy with zero success, so I had this pent-up interest. I always, you know, a lot of projects I write and work on are about women who are obsessed with marriage. Both because I relate to it and because I think it's really funny."

"And there is also a desperation to it that is, you know, makes you incredibly unhappy. And in my 20s, wanting to find someone, anyone, to settle down with," Kaling told Bozzi.
