Celebrity Celebrity Relationships Celebrity Breakups Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen divorce By Staff Author Published on December 7, 2005 12:49AM EST After a four year separation, actress Valerie Bertinelli and rocker Eddie Van Halen are officially divorcing, according to Valerie’s publicist, Heidi Schaeffer. "Yes, that’s true. They have been separated for four years and it’s amicable," Heidi told The Associated Press. She nor Valerie would say more. Valerie,45, filed the divorce papers on Monday in a Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. Valerie can be remembered for her role on the show "One Day at a Time,"which ran from 1975 to 1984. She later had a recurring role on "Touched by an Angel" from 2001 to 2003. Eddie, 50, is well known in rock history as the lead guitarist of the group Van Halen, which has been around since the 1970’s.
