Kylie Jenner Says She's 'Grown Out of' Lash Extensions and 'Thick Eyebrows' as She Reflects on 'King Kylie' Era

Kylie Jenner is reflecting on her "King Kylie" era.

For Elle's November 2024 cover story, the 27-year-old reality star and mogul shared why she recently revived the aesthetic, which defined her style in the mid-2010s.

Back in September, she gave fans a dose of nostalgia with a bright blue hair color similar to that of her King Kylie days. After being spotted at Los Angeles hotspot Sushi Park with the new hue, Jenner shared the look on Instagram adding the caption, "teal the end of time."

She then made a follow-up post with more blue-haired photos. In the pics, Kylie sits outdoors wrapped in a white towel with a cup of black coffee in front of her.

After stirring up speculation over whether the look was a wig or not, the star quickly reverted back to her usual brunette locks.

In her Elle interview, published on Wednesday, Oct. 23, the Khy founder gave a simple explanation for the short-lived transformation.

“I had a free day,” she said, explaining that she and her glam team wanted to play around. Jenner continued that the King Kylie era “will always be a part of who I am, but it’ll never be what it was when I was younger. I probably would never wear lash extensions and thick eyebrows. There are just certain trends that I’ve grown out of.”

Clearly, Jenner is still down to experiment with her hair color. In January, she debuted a bubblegum pink hair color, which evoked her King Kylie days as well as her sleek pastel look from 2020.

In a selfie shared to Instagram, the star rocked tousled pink hair, which matched her flushed cheeks and rosy pink lip color.

“Hiiiii remember me,” she captioned the post, referring to her past colorful hair looks.

She also previously had blue hair in early 2019, though it was a much lighter shade. Jenner showed off the ice-cold blue color on Instagram during the winter months.

Beauty choices or otherwise, Jenner also told Elle that she tries to give her "younger self grace."

"I don’t like to have too many regrets in life," she said. "I think my path is what got me here today. I’m happy with where I am and just have to keep moving forward.”
