Camila Cabello is sharing an honest update with her supporters.

On Wednesday, July 31, the "I Luv It" singer wrote in an Instagram caption that she was "going thru it lately" while sharing a bandaged heart emoji and a photo of herself lying in bed, before giving some more insight in a candid message.

"feels like sometimes there is heartache everywhere i look, within me and around me," Cabello, 27, wrote. "and i try my best to show up for my friends, my fans and the people that show up for me but it’s hard to pour from what feels like an empty cup."

"if I am a part of your life and i disappear sometimes, that’s probably why," she added. "so brb while i get some bandages and warm honey and stitches for this head and heart"

Cabello then wrote, "you know i’ll be back from my trips to hell hotter funnier and smarter," before throwing in a winky emoji and providing fans with some "field notes."

"27 is messy, gilded," she concluded.

In the photo itself, Cabello could be seen taking a mirror snap while she was lying in bed, wrapped up in her covers. The post's comment section was full of fans and friends showing love to the Fifth Harmony alum, with thoughtful messages from Emma Roberts, Bazzi and several others.

It's been a busy year so far for Cabello, who — outside of performances with robot dogs and dishing out music videos — released her fourth album C,XOXO back in June. The project featured team-ups with Drake, Lil Nas X, Yung Miami, JT and more, as well as lead single "I Luv It" featuring Playboi Carti.

Speaking with Billboard for the publication's cover story back in late May, Cabello shared that it used to get to her when people didn't like her music — although she's "way more at peace with it" today. “[When I was starting out], I wish I knew that not everybody is going to like me, and it has nothing to do with me," she said. "That affected me a lot in the beginning. When you’re that young all you want is acceptance and love, and you can’t understand when people don’t like you."

Cabello added, "You take it so personally, and it makes you feel like you’re doing something wrong, however, she later learned that "people's reactions have nothing to do with you."

Elsewhere in the interview, Cabello opened up about living her "Sex and the City life, but Miami," an energy she said she channeled for the new LP. “To me, it’s about going out more, going to more parties and just being a bit more fearless and rebellious,” Cabello said. “Before, I would go out and not care about what I looked like. If I felt kind of ugly, it was whatever — but now, I always want to feel pretty for myself."

"It’s about really enjoying life, and I always think to myself, that’s what sensuality is all about," she added. "It’s a sensory thing: enjoying the food you eat, enjoying putting on a few outfits in the mirror, enjoying the senses of being alive. It’s about taking in that baddie energy."

Most recently, Cabello was spotted with ex Shawn Mendes at the Copa América final between Argentina and Colombia earlier this month, and despite images of them chatting having sparked reconciliation rumors among fans, a source told PEOPLE that they were "there coincidentally" and that Cabello "took her dad as her date."
