The "Havana" singer, 27, opened up about making the project, out June 28, in a new cover story interview with Billboard, and revealed the "Hotline Bling" rapper will feature on the song "Hot Uptown" and appear solo on an interlude called "Uuugly." "Why does he have his own song? Because selfishly, I just want to hear Drake on my own album," Cabello told the outlet of "Uuugly," on which she provides backup vocals. Initially, the Fifth Harmony alum reached out to him in an Instagram DM. "I showed him the album when I felt comfortable enough and he really liked it," she said, adding that the collaboration "came out of a nontransactional place." The Grammy-nominated musician previously teased the collaborations in an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she addressed the viral photos of her jet skiing with the rapper in Turks and Caicos in December. "Well, first of all, I wouldn't say just straight-up vacation. It was vacation plus some work," said Cabello of the photos. "But I will say, you know what? I love that man, I love him." I honestly feel like you would really love it.' Because I listen to him a lot, and I really do feel like, musically, in a lot of ways, we like the same things," Cabello said. "It was such a surreal moment to play Drake my songs," she added on the podcast. "That's another one of those things that's like, wow, I never would have expected this would happen. It's a dream.
