How are you deciding the needs and priorities of a team away day? Are team away days (not socials at the pub) part of your workplace culture at all? Are you seeing and designing away days as part of your strategic vision? In Nature, the convergence, divergence pattern supports collectives 'coming together' to catalyse, re-resource, then disperse knowledge and strategy. Returning again,as a collective, in the future to share and gain awareness, skills and direction. Team Away days can work this way too! With time & resources feeling so stretched & precious to many workplaces. Even a day out with the team can create pressures and stresses. Yet the value of a day out, to reflect and connect can create a range of benefits for the people & potential of your organisation. Team Away days can combine team connection and relationship building with up skilling & personal development. By going on the journey of embodying my own human design, I finally found what I was so looooong searching for: 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮, 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙡. I understood why certain tactics and strategies could never work for me, how my energy is flowing and what I am really here to do. My whole past life suddenly made sense too. It changed a lot of things: 🔥 I work way less than I used to 🔥 I look after myself and listen to my body 🔥 I know how to take aligned decisions and tune into my intuition 🔥 I know what works for me and my energy and what doesn’t and  🔥 My business grew by 68% in Year on Year 😳 (no - my biz was not bad before 😂) And this is only the beginning .... 😅 I cannot wait to share with you the foundations of Human Design. We all have to eat. There can be accessibility barriers to cooking for some people. Some of these barriers include lifting and moving heavy pots, difficulty holding a knife, or limited energy to prep veggies. One of my favourite example of inclusive design are the OXO kitchen tools, veggie peeler posted below. I learned a lot from this post from cookbook author Julia Turshen. What tips to you have to add?

In the work that I am doing with a range of organisations, staff, teams and leaders and as a therapist, I see the pressures of this hectic life on so many and I feel it myself. In this session we will define burnout, recognise the warning signs and identify tools and strategies that will reduce the likelihood of burnout and enable you to effectively support yourself and your team. I will refer to some practical research-based strategies that can make all the difference. I hope to see you there 😊.

How does the drama triangle contribute to burnout in teams? Gude Hudson-Gool has written a beautiful summary of some of the dynamics that might be present in creating a culture of burnout, and how we work with teams to help individuals and teams suffering with Burn out culture. After I read it, I noticed how the drama triangle plays out in my own inner monologue… I’ve been really tired and achy for the last few days. 😭My inner victim cries, I’m so tired! I can’t stop! I can’t cope! 🤬My inner persecutor tells me to stop being a whiny baby and get on with it! They battle it out for a bit (my rescuer is clearly saving her energy for other more worthy causes!) 🔥🥵In this state, my own inner dialogue will take me to a place of burn out. For it is impossible to rest with the inner persecutor on my shoulder, and impossible to get on with my inner victim wearing her wounds so loudly! I am so sure from both angles that I am not ok, how can I possibly be ok? So how to disrupt this? In much the same way we Bryter Work help teams recognise and address team dynamics, I can introduce the winners triangle. 😭>💖 My victim voice I can turn into one of vulnerability, that is empowered to create suggestions and acknowledge my feelings. 🦸‍♀️>🤲 I can recruit help from my inner resource giver (not a rescuer) who can help to identify what resources might help to recover. 🤬>👩‍💼And my persecutor can change into an assertive voice, that can let me know what the non-negotiables of my day look like, so I can make some prioritisation calls. And before I know it, I’m back on the path to OK! Does any of my thought patterns resonate with you? Why invest in yourself as a midlife freelance design consultant? Whilst I'm not a fan of all the '10x-ing' and '6 figure' narrative, it's often overlooked at how education and self development can impact a freelance design business. Professional coaching is tax deductible, so it makes sense to be using that to your benefit. The CEO's and C-Suite know this and that's why professional coaching is available to the corporate world. They know that investing in the skill set of their team is vital. Buying a car, a holiday or a new MacBook will not give you the ROI like investing in your education in midlife. In my experience, high end coaching can create results that far out shine any other investment you will make in your life. Because nobody can take away your knowledge or your mindset, it's an investment that will positively impact your business, wellbeing and relationships. No-one is “getting their HD done” - it is not a hair-cut, or botox, or fillers! ‌ In Human Design there is no “Done for You”! ‌ Human Design is a lived experience. Not just knowing about it! Human Design helps us to step from disempowerment into empowerment. ‌Finding this magical state of alignment! While being the person we always were designed to be. It is a home coming. ‌ But it is not just pulling your chart and saying “Oh I am a Manifesting Generator” that makes sense and put it away again. ‌ 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 - 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨 - 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 - 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮. ‌ Human Design is not “just another personality profile” - your Human Design is deeply rooted in your being, in your genes, it is who you really are. ‌ And once you are ready to embrace that - this is when things will fall into place. ‌ It is magical and mind blowing!! ‌ ‌Do you think you could do with a bit more alignment and feeling good about yourself? “𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 ….. 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭!” What the heck does that mean? No-one is “getting their HD done” - it is not a hair-cut, or botox, or fillers! In Human Design there is no “Done for You”! Human Design is a lived experience. Not just knowing about it! Human Design helps us to step from disempowerment into empowerment. Finding this magical state of alignment! While being the person we always were designed to be. It is a home coming. But it is not just pulling your chart and saying “Oh I am a Manifesting Generator” that makes sense and put it away again. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 - 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙨 - 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 - 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮.
