This is the most interesting piece of data pie from Indian elections. If you closely observe KA, the vote share difference between bjp (46.06%) and INC(45.43%) is just 0.63% but the seats won by the former is almost double (17 as against 9). Is it not a rare case of miniscule marginal difference but monumental outcome difference ??? Something equivalent to paying 50 paise extra to a shopkeeper over a Rs 100 Bill and getting additional rice worth Rs 88.89?? Is it not the most interesting, competitive, cut throat and bitterly fought contest across human domains???

Having seen the conventional funnel in large scale operations for products in BYJU'S, and an inverted funnel that starts with free offerings focused on the customer's problems for Design Crescendo gigs, there are a few things that I've picked up about product and service marketing in general. When you're dealing with direct-response and bottom-of-the-funnel marketing, it makes more sense to promote your offer than your product. This is where you drive people into demos, consultations, audits, etc. Often, smaller units start here, and then expand to the middle and top as time and budget allow. The reason why at some point the expansion to other parts of the funnel is essential is because marketing only your offer isn't easily scalable. There are only so many prospects "in-market" at any given time, and at some point, you have to invest in generating demand rather than just capturing it with offer marketing. ‘With growing consumption and gross domestic product (GDP) growth in India, the advertising market is projected to grow at a 9.4% CAGR from INR 1,01,000 crore in 2023 to INR 1,58,000 crore in 2028, which is 1.4x the global average. Most of this growth will come from digital front (internet advertising), which is expected to grow at a 15.6% CAGR, rising from INR 41,000 crore in 2023 to INR 85,000 crore in 2028. Internet advertising’s year-on-year growth, which was 26.0% in 2023, will remain in double digits throughout the forecast period (2024–28), and is expected to be 12.2% in 2028. Traditional TV advertising will grow at a 4.2% CAGR between 2023 to 2028, while global revenues are set to drop by -1.6%. India is poised to become the fourth-largest TV advertising market by 2026.’

25 years back E-Commerce was introduced in a geography which was retail centric, price senstitive and most importantly not very technologically advanced. However - there was a use case to solve for. Time, distance, global access in terms of products, convinience and aspiration - were a few factors that led to a revolution. This gave birth to giants like - Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon (India), Myntra, Meesho, AJIO.com, among few others. These players changed the way people shopped in India. 3 decades later - we are at the realm of another revolution. Many consider it to be the evolution of E-Commerce. “Time is money” - Solve ‘time’ for your consumer and they will solve money for you. Back in 2020 - I never thought I could buy a playstation and have it delivered to my house in 10 mins. India as a geography - is known to solve for things at the last minute - Hence, it’s known as ‘India ka last minute app’ / ‘Delivery in 10 minutes.’ What are the learnings from this once in a millennium revolution - Quick Commerce? (A true fan of Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart) - How deep can you go to solve for your consumer? 💡 - Focus on your end goal, operationally nothing is impossible.🎯 - Believe, it can happen when no one thinks it can. 🧿 - Be efficient and diligently solve (be clear who you want to solve for) ✅ What’s next for Quick-Commerce?
