Key recommendations included: 🔹 Gradual, lifecycle-based subsidies to ensure long-term adoption. 🔹 Policies to align CSR initiatives with core business activities for maximum impact. 🔹 End-client focused frameworks to drive adoption and accessibility. 🔹 Policy frameworks to facilitate capital aggregation and attract foreign investments. 🔹 Innovation-driven programs to scale transformative technologies. 🔹 Integration of pay-as-you-go and rental structures into formal credit reporting and debt recovery systems. 🔹 Policies to integrate digital tech with physical assets to enhance efficiency and scalability. Climate tech investments in APAC have declined by 40% in the first three quarters of 2024 compared to 2023, even as the cost of climate mitigation and adaptation continues to rise. What policy changes at the macro, market, and firm levels are needed in India to accelerate climate tech investments in the highest-emitting sectors? In partnership with Desai & Associates, I'm excited to be convening a diverse group of impact leaders and sector experts to address policy challenges holding back climate tech investment. Looking forward to bold ideas, sharp insights, and actionable solutions — and to sharing key findings from this work in the months ahead.
