🚀 CFO Confidence rises in Ireland! 🚀 According to Deloitte Ireland's latest CFO Survey, over half of CFOs are feeling more optimistic about their companies' financial prospects compared to three months ago. Key findings include: 📈 60% believe their company is in a better position now. 💼 74% expect revenue growth in the next year. 📊 53% predict an increase in operating margins. 👥 39% foresee a rise in employee numbers. Despite facing high external financial and economic uncertainty, particularly from geopolitical risks and cyber threats, CFOs are adapting and planning for a brighter future. The Dilemma: Employers are torn between hiring eager international candidates with IFRS experience and attracting local talent with GAAP expertise. The active market is brimming with international talent, ready to work but needing GAAP training. Meanwhile, the passive market holds experienced professionals, but their demands for higher salaries are often out of reach. The Recruiter's Role: Recruiters are essential in this balancing act, guiding employers on competitive salaries, training plans, and candidate preparedness. They help bridge the gap between expectations and reality. The GAAP Challenge: GAAP knowledge isn't just a checkbox—it's crucial for regulatory compliance, tax reporting, and audit readiness. Transitioning from IFRS to GAAP is no small feat and requires a structured training plan. Training vs. Salary Increase: Investing in training for IFRS-experienced candidates may be slightly costlier upfront (€11,000 over 5 months) but pays off long-term, compared to recurring higher salaries (€10,000 annually) for GAAP-experienced talent.
