To coincide with the release of the 2024 ALPMA New Zealand Legal Industry HR Issues and Salary Survey, I caught up with Gemma Wragg from Tavendale and Partners Limited to discuss some of the key insights including: 👉 Average salaries in the New Zealand legal industry saw a rise of 4.7% 👉 56% of firms remain worried about their ability to attract staff in the coming year 👉 47% of firms are ready to boost remuneration packages by up to 10% to attract external talent, 14% are prepared to offer increases of up to 20% 👉 Law firms are increasingly offering additional flexibility and mentoring opportunities to keep their current talent 👉 Fewer firms are poised to negotiate salary raises above the Consumer Price Index for 2024.
