There are just 4 days until the General Election in Ireland and we at Roche Ireland have great hope for what the next government can achieve for patients in Ireland. The recently published New Medicines Pledge calls for the right medicines to be available to patients at the right time. At Roche we believe doctors in Ireland deserve a stronger voice when it comes to deciding which medicines are available and when. Recent research conducted by IPSOS B&S reveals that most people think that doctors do have a voice when it comes to deciding which new medicines should be available…and the vast majority of people believe they should be. The New Medicine Pledge has appeared to resonate with most political parties and we look forward to working with the local healthcare system to ensure continuous funding and faster flow of new medicines for patients in Ireland. #newmedicinespledge #newmedicines #clinicaladvocacy #generalelection

Was at the Irish Medtech Quality & Regulatory Forum yesterday with key QA/RA specialists in the MedTech sector in Ireland. The topic that this forum is focusing on is the implementation of MDR and IVDR  It was an intensive discussion forum with key take aways - 1) Transition from QSR to QMSR to be done by 2026 Key points to watch out would be  (a) Understand the difference between QSR and QMSR (b) Perform a comprehensive gap assessment wrt ISO13485:2016 and ISO 9000:2015 (c) Audits that will happen till 2026 will be looked at with the preparedness in the transitioning to QMSR (d) Significant shift on Risk mgt with integration of ISO 14971 2) PMS -  (a)Ensure alignment with MDCG guidelines for PSUR reports (b) All PSUR documents will intime be uploaded to EUDAMED 3) Combination products- The #MDR adds a layer of complexity with Pharma and Medical device coming together eg Dual labeling requirements; interaction of device post-market vigilance & pharmacovigilance. Great article on the power of effective communication! As the author eloquently outlines, mastering presentation skills can indeed elevate one’s influence and success. However, in the business context, especially with boards focused on financial performance, it’s a fine line between engaging storytelling and professional pragmatism. Pictures and “wow” moments have their place, but clarity and substance often reign supreme in such settings. While a touch of entertainment can enhance a presentation, let’s not forget that the boardroom prefers insights over showmanship. Balancing these elements is the true art. Kudos to HBR for sparking this essential discussion!

Did you know? Bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms are increasingly surviving the medicines intended to treat them. It's called antimicrobial resistance, or AMR, and it's a major health threat.  Across Teva's operations and supply chain, we’re addressing #AMR in many ways. We piloted a program in Germany to get messages to people right when they picked up their antibiotics from the pharmacy or clinic to help them learn about ways to prevent AMR. So far we sent digital messages with these tips to: 🏥 ~11,000 pharmacies 🩺 ~65,000 healthcare professionals 🌐 ~275,000 patients As a company that makes antimicrobial medicines, we want to make sure they work. And if we all take steps to address AMR, like prescribing and using antibiotics correctly, we can contribute to healthy people and a healthy planet, which are essential for a #HealthyFuture. #AntimicrobialResistance
