Yesterday, we had the honour of attending an exclusive pre-event hosted by Børsen, the leading Danish business newspaper, ahead of the Børsen Bæredygtige Summit 2024 in Copenhagen. This annual summit, co-hosted by Børsen, Danske Bank, and PwC, brings together the business community, researchers, and politicians for a day dedicated to sustainability. Since 2022, Børsen has annually recognized the efforts of 50 businesses and green pioneers through the Børsen Bæredygtige Cases initiative, highlighting innovative sustainability projects. Each year, these 50 businesses are celebrated at the summit, and we were privileged to participate in this celebration as our local production of recycled phone cases for the B2B market earned us a place among Børsen's 50 bæredygtige cases in 2023. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Anna Trier Bjerring from WWF Verdensnaturfonden / WWF Denmark to our office for an interview about our commitment to nature restoration beyond our value chain and our strategy for monitoring and addressing the biodiversity impact within our value chain. The focus was on the WWF and Hempel Foundation-led biodiversity and rainforest restoration project in the Rwenzori Mountains National Park, Uganda, in which we are proudly involved. Our contributions to the project are part of our overall partnership with WWF Denmark. This partnership is set to help us achieve our mission to work science-based towards nature and climate positive - guided by WWF. On our path towards making a positive impact on the environment, the partnership acknowledges and addresses the challenges of climate change and nature degradation. By supporting WWF forest programs in Uganda, we contribute to protecting and restoring high-biodiversity forests, which benefit nature, biodiversity, endangered species, and local communities.
