"How do you introduce autonomous trucking into a busy terminal without disrupting operations?" At FERNRIDE, we apply a phased approach to ensure a smooth transition: 📍 Phase 1: We begin by setting up and commissioning the system with a small number of vehicles. During this phase, local personnel—from remote operators to maintenance teams—receive comprehensive training to confidently use the solution. 📍 Phase 2: Once the system is running smoothly, we scale up the fleet according to a pre-aligned and tailored plan, fully integrating the solution into your terminal’s operations. Want to see how this works in practice? Watch our full video on YouTube to learn more about overcoming operational challenges and achieving new levels of efficiency. I am incredibly honored and humbled to have been recognized as Logistics Leader of the Year at the prestigious Logistics Hall of Fame awards ceremony last night. Standing alongside such inspiring innovators and changemakers in the industry was a truly surreal experience. To receive this recognition is a testament to the amazing team at FERNRIDE, whose hard work and dedication drive forward our shared mission every day. Thank you for building this great company together with me! ❤️ And also a big thank you to our customers, partners, and investors (some representatives of these groups were also celebrating with us in Berlin yesterday, thank you so much for coming!!!) for believing in us and driving the future of logistics automation with us. 🚀🚀🚀 The celebration and the spirit of the event reminded me once again how important collaboration, innovation, and bold vision are in shaping the future. Looking ahead, we have big plans on the horizon! 🚛🤖🚀 With our vision of driving logistics automation, it is so encouraging to have such big support of the logistics industry. Thank you to the Logistics Hall of Fame for this incredible honor, and congratulations to all the other nominees and awardees who are pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible. Exchanging and learning from role models like Mick Mountz, Peter Wurman, and Raffaello D'Andrea who were elected to the Hall of Fame yesterday as they founded and scaled Kiva Systems (that was then acquired by Amazon for $775M and turned into Amazon Robotics) 20 years ago and changed the industry forever was super inspiring. Here’s to driving change, together. 🚀 Special thanks to Marie-Helene AMETSREITER and Frank Mueller for saying such nice things on stage with your laudatory speeches. This means a lot to me, especially as my family was part of the audience yesterday too. 😍 And thanks to Anita Würmser and Thilo Jörgl for hosting such a special event!!!

🚀 Milestone Alert: FERNRIDE Completes External Safety & Security Evaluation by TÜV SÜD 🚀 FERNRIDE's safety & security concept for autonomous terminal tractors has successfully passed TÜV SÜD’s rigorous evaluation. This milestone marks an essential step in preparation for the autonomous driving tests without a safety driver present in the vehicle. The first driverless tests are scheduled to start as early as December 2024. With our safety concept – the first of its kind in the EU - we are pioneering the way towards compliance according to the Machinery Directive and fully CE-certified autonomous terminal tractors, aiming to set a benchmark for safety standards in autonomous trucking from the EU and globally. Here’s what this milestone means: 🔹 TÜV SÜD’s comprehensive assessment validates the strength of our safety concept, covering risk analyses, specifications, and safety function validation. 🔹 We’re setting a benchmark in compliance, aligning with the Machinery Directive, and aiming for fully CE-certified autonomous terminal tractors. 🔹 This accomplishment also prepares us for upcoming driverless tests, scheduled to begin as early as December 2024! As Hendrik Kramer, CEO & Co-Founder of FERNRIDE, states, "Being a deep-tech startup, we put a strong focus on industrializing a safe and secure product, so we are very pleased with the positive outcome of the evaluation by TÜV SÜD." "Working with FERNRIDE is very solution-oriented and the topic of safety is taken very seriously. We are regularly provided with new and adapted safety concepts for review. Not only are existing protection concepts skilfully implemented, but new technological approaches are also developed. This combination could make FERNRIDE one of the first manufacturers with a CE-compliant solution for autonomous port applications." Benedikt Pulver, Head of the machine safety department at TÜV SÜD, comments on the project. A huge congratulations to our teams on achieving this important milestone and a thank you to our colleagues at TÜV SÜD for their support and expertise. We’re not just driving innovation—we’re doing it safely. 🚛 🔒 Read the full press release on our website: Link in the comment section 🔗 👇 #AutonomousTrucking #AutonomousDrivingSafety #HumanAssistedAutonomy #FERNRIDE #FutureOfLogistics #LogisticsInnovation
