It was an absolute honour to partner with the Good Vibes Foundation yesterday as they delivered more than 300 turkeys to our DDSB kids and their families! This wonderful organization focuses on addressing food insecurity and supporting youth mental health—two vital areas that play a crucial role in the success of our Durham students. Our local community has amazing #kindnesscapacity ! Recently some amazing staff from Gerdau Whitby of Gerdau North America Gerdau Special Steel joined us at the Make A Difference Depot. Together they ensured 404.4 kgs (the same weight as an American Bison 🦬 ) were sorted and organized in our Nutrition Station Pantry as well as packing food hampers to be delivered to DDSB students facing food insecurity across Durham! While also collecting Toonies for our recent Toonie Tuesday! THANK YOU for being #CHANGEMAKERS and Making Tomorrows Brighter for children and youth!
