Gerdau is proud to be a continuous sponsor of the AWMI (Association of Women in the Metals Industry) and their Annual Conference, which took place a few weeks ago in Nashville, TN. Gerdau women had the opportunity to network with other metals industry professionals and leaders, attend insightful workshops and panel discussions, and learn more about the industry through keynote speakers and educational tours. On October 17, more than 130 Gerdau customers, market experts, partnering organizations, and employees gathered to discuss the economic challenges and trends impacting the automotive industry. The morning conference was followed by a tour of Gerdau Special Steel’s Monroe mill, where attendees got to see how our steel is made to the highest standards of safety, quality and performance.
