TECHNATION and Alterna Savings have partnered in a “first-of-it’s-kind”, barrier reducing program, that empowers Black Ontario-based entrepreneurs to hire student talent at a minimal cost. When employers speak, we listen. The fact that student work placement subsidies are awarded at the end of the placement created a significant barrier for entrepreneurs and employers looking to scaling-up to access this funding. By combining Alterna’s community microfinance program and TECHNATION’s Career Ready program, this partnership provides funding to cover the student’s wages, at very little cost to the employer.
