We are just getting started! 🚀 The Techstars Space Accelerator demo day at Google Venice has capped off an incredible 13 weeks for the VXB Aerospace team! Over the program, we transformed our business to address a market in the trillions rather than the billions. We have built relationships with leading space organisations, including the United States Space Force, and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory with whom we are discussing a collaboration for the generative design of space hardware. Zachariah Levey and Jasper Ryan were delighted to share what VXB Aerospace has been working on with a delegation of leading Korean space companies! This week a delegation of Korean space companies visited Cicada Innovations to meet with Australian space companies, build relationships and exchange knowledge. It was exciting to hear about the cutting-edge technologies that INNOSPACE, The Space K, BlueWaveTel, MID Space, CONTEC and Perigee are working on. It’s an exciting time for collaboration between space companies in the Asia-Pacific region and we look forward to building more warm relationships with our space industry colleagues in Korea to strengthen the Korean-Australian space supply chain. VXB Aerospace fires up breakthrough AI-designed satellite thruster 🛰 This image shows the successful firing of our Zephyr thruster in our vacuum chamber. 🚀 The ionised argon plasma plume can be seen ejecting from the channel of the thruster producing the highly efficient thrust that makes this underlying Hall effect technology the most desired type of satellite propulsion by the industry. We completed the design, manufacturing and testing in just 4 months. This is the first time that the Australia & NZ region has the capability to produce electric propulsion systems for satellites larger than 50kg, critical for unlocking satellite capabilities in the region as demand surges. This is also the first use of AI to tackle complex design challenges in satellite propulsion, our proprietary algorithms saved us significant time and cost. Using the proprietary structure in our Zephyr propulsion, we’ll be the first company in the world to sell electric propulsion that runs on argon propellent, a fraction of the cost to alternative fuels. As the leading Australian state for space and defence capabilities, representatives from our team recently visited the NSW Government supported National Space Industry Hub at Cicada Innovations with a delegation of Korean journalists and were treated to fascinating space tech presentations by Matt Ryall (founder and CEO, Mawson Rovers) and Alexander Ryan (co-founder and CEO, VXB Aerospace). 31% of Australian university departments are active in space research and learning, and in 2018 the Australian Government launched the Australian Space Agency with the goal of tripling the national space economy from A$4 billion to A$12 billion in 2030 and developing 12,000 additional highly skilled jobs. United States Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) visits VXB Aerospace facility 🇺🇸🇦🇺 We were delighted last week to host a delegation from the US DIU, along with the Australian Space Agency and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) to demonstrate our breakthroughs in Hall effect #propulsion . We discussed how we can bolster the US and Australian capability for critical space propulsion technology at a time where mobility in orbit is more complex and contested than ever. 🛰️🌏 We shared the exciting advantages we’ve built into our Zephyr propulsion with Steve Butow the Director of Space Portfolio and Omar Pimentel, including our optimisation for Argon fuel, 100x cheaper than current alternatives. 💯 The US DIU has a mandate to accelerate commercial development of critical technologies for defence security with key allies, we’re excited to continue growing this international relationship to support a robust in-space capability both for the US and Australia. Similar to commercial customers, Defence needs reliable access to space propulsion that is high performance, cost efficient and fast to produce, VXB Aerospace's #Zephyr system is the answer.  Thank you Cicada Innovations for arranging the visit!
