Empowering Kimberley Indigenous Women to build wealth through business.
About us
NURTURE | CHAMPION | SUPPORT We are a grassroots women-specific business club of Kimberley Indigenous women who use the vehicle of business to build wealth, as a means to drive social and economic transformation across the Kimberley. This business club is an important Kimberley Indigenous and women-specific resource of encouragement, dream-building and practical support which empowers Maganda Makers, enabling them to incubate (aspire and emerge) and then scale beyond a nano/micro-business, to a business generating wealth that can be used for good.

🌟 Kankawa Nagarra Knight (Aunty Olive) 🌟 We are so excited to announce that the incredible Kankawa Nagarra Knight — lovingly known as Aunty Olive — has been appointed as the Club Patron for the Maganda Makers Business Club! Aunty Olive has been a passionate advocate and steadfast supporter of our club, embodying the spirit of resilience, community, and empowerment that drives us forward. As our Patron, her unwavering dedication and inspirational leadership are a true honor to celebrate. Hailing from the remote community of Wangkatjungka in the Kimberley, Kankawa Nagarra Knight, a proud Walmatjarri Elder, continues to leave an indelible mark as an international blues and gospel singer-songwriter, teacher, mentor, human rights advocate. For Aunty Olive, music is more than a passion—it is a remedy for mental health, a source of healing, and a way to uplift others. Her belief in the transformative power of music has not only brought her personal healing but has also inspired her to share its positivity with the world. This week, Aunty Olive achieved a monumental milestone, winning the prestigious 2024 SOUNDMERCH Australian Music Prize for her debut album, Wirlmarni. We are so incredibly proud of her. Please join us in welcoming Aunty Olive to this special role — we are so lucky to have her continue to guide and uplift us on this journey!
