  • A Message from Founding Chair, Jane Tittums: As the chairperson of PABIA, it is crucial to emphasise the principle of "nothing about us without us" in all decision-making processes. This fundamental concept reaffirms the importance of including Aboriginal voices, perspectives, and experiences in discussions that directly impact our community and businesses. At the heart of this principle lies a deep respect for self-determination and empowerment. By ensuring that Aboriginal businesses are actively involved in decision-making, we uphold our autonomy and advocate for policies and initiatives that reflect our needs and aspirations. "Nothing about us without us" serves as a powerful reminder that inclusive and collaborative approaches are essential for creating sustainable solutions and fostering meaningful change. Let us continue to uphold this principle as we navigate the intricate intersections of business, culture, and community, paving the way for a more equitable and inclusive future for all.
