Happy Women's Day to all the indomitable spirits out there! Today, we reflect on our strides and the roads yet to be traveled. 🎈 🔊 #Voice and #Agency are not just buzzwords; they are the pillars of true empowerment. As #Satya and #Tathya discuss, recognizing the invisible barriers in boardrooms and labs is the first step towards dismantling them. This Women's Day, let's commit to elevating every woman's presence to be recognized and valued, every day. 🌼 It's not just about breaking the glass ceiling but also about nurturing an environment where every woman, irrespective of her role, feels acknowledged and empowered. 🔄 #DiversityInAction isn't a one-day affair. It's a continuous push for representation, equality, and inclusion that transforms societies. So, let's honor today by uplifting those beside us and ensuring that each day is a step forward in this collective journey. 💪 📢 Shoutout to #Satya & #Tathya for reminding us that while we've come far, the journey to equality continues. Let's #BreakTheBias and amplify every voice that strives for an equitable future. 🌐 #EmpowermentEveryday #InclusionMatters #Equity #WomensLeadership #Feminism #HeForShe #WomenInSTEM #WomenInPolitics #GenderParity #BalanceForBetter #InternationalWomensDay #WomenEmpowerment #HerStory #EachforEqual #SocialChange #ProgressForAll #InclusiveLeadership #WomenInBusiness #EverydayIsWomensDay

I've always found it important to talk about money more openly (salary, inheritance, all of it) and so was very happy when this became a topic in our webinar series "Feminist Leadership Under Construction" and that Purposeful shared their journey with us. We're also developing our own feminist salary structure at FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders so if you have experience with that or resources to share, please let me know!

I really enjoyed collaborating with feminist organisation Purposeful on this short case study about their journey towards decolonising their payscales. There is a lot of naysaying about this in the #globaldev sector, but Purposeful show that improvements can be made – we just need to reimagine and recommit. And we need more donors to support. Read on to hear about how the impacts of this have been incredibly powerful... https://lnkd.in/gYW6-8qW Rosa Bransky FAIR SHARE of Women Leaders Akina Mama wa Afrika

Meeting strong women and hearing their success stories empowers you to do more. Shimla Ahmed is a wonderful woman with a track record of several successes. She is the CEO and founder of AO News and Co-founder and President of the Southern Community Empowerment Association of Maldives - SCEAM Heartfelt gratitude for the advice and guidance. As women, we must empower each other to do more for our community instead of discussing each other. When we empower each other as women, several positive outcomes occur such as: 1. Increased Confidence 2. Empowerment fosters a spirit of collaboration rather than competition. 3. Empowering each other often leads to sharing knowledge, resources, and opportunities. 4. Empowering each other helps break down societal and institutional barriers that limit women's progress. 5. Empowered women serve as role models for others. 6. Empowering women can lead to broader social change by challenging gender norms and stereotypes.

Reflecting on #internationalwomensday2024 and recent experiences, it's disheartening to hear about incidents like my mentee being refused a handshake on cultural grounds but also ignored on worksite. As someone born into a Muslim family, I can affirm that Islam values the utmost respect for women. The saying, "Heaven is under your mother's feet," underscores the value placed on women. Or another talented beatiful mentee being targetted by Csuites Exec womanisers and taking the top role in such a short period and being pushed after intrest is moved away. In light of #ramadan and #internationalwomensday , let's actively challenge stereotypes and foster an environment of equality in our respective fields. Your support is crucial in making a positive impact. Yesterday, on International Women's Day, we celebrated progress, but it's evident there's more work to be done. #inclusion #womaninbusiness #diversityandinclusion #ramadanmubarak #respectatwork #challenges #constructionindustry

Enjoyed reading this case study on the path to a decolonised pay structure. It is interesting reading the decision made about getting rid of performance-based pay given the risk of this becoming about visibility to senior management. And indeed, we often accept the way things are done because that’s the way it’s always been done without questioning whether there is a better route. Also very well made points about how salaries are expected to cover different things in different parts of the world.

Inspiring and Determined, kamala thapa reads the letter O. O is for Over-Sensitive. Kamala, an #indigenous woman from Nepal's Magar community, holds the distinction of being the first to earn a Master's degree in her village. Despite challenges in educating her community, she's supported by a loving husband and beautiful children. As an Indigenous activist, she passionately fights for the land rights of her people, believing that with strong support, transformative change is possible. “You’re so oversensitive!” is something of a global experience faced by women. This is often used to dismiss women's emotions, especially when they express feelings of being upset or dissatisfied. This suggests that a woman’s reaction is exaggerated. It also gives the idea that having feelings about something is weak and irrational, discouraging expression of feelings. Dismissing women as "oversensitive" serves to silence women and control them. #WomenSupportingWomen #WomenEmpowerment #GirlPower #Feminist #WomenInBusiness #WomenInPolitics #WomenLeaders #WomenEmpoweringWomen #WomenInspiringWomen #InternationalWomensDay2024 #GenderEquality #WomenRights #WomenHistory #EqualRights #WomenRise #WomenStrong #WomenUnited #EmpoweredWomen #WomenInSTEM #oversensitive #WomenHealth #abrasive #theempowermentalphabet
