Our mandate is to facilitate access to education, skills development and formal qualifications.
About us
The Energy Mobility Education Trust is focused on unlocking the potential of black youth in South Africa, through educational programs. Established in 2014 as the BPSA Education Foundation Trust by BP South Africa, we evolved into the Energy Mobility Education Trust. We are committed to breaking down barriers and opening doors to education, skills development, and formal qualifications. We believe in the potential of every young mind and are dedicated to empowering them to flourish, succeed, and catalyse lasting change. We walk beside our beneficiaries every step of the way, supporting them through high school programs, skills development initiatives, and ultimately to tertiary education. Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of young South Africans, with a special focus on young women, and people with disabilities. At the heart of our efforts is education – the cornerstone of progress. By elevating proficiency in math, science, and languages, we're equipping our beneficiaries for successful careers, and lives rich in meaning and productivity. Education is the flame that lights the path to inclusive economic growth, true empowerment and freedom .

Did you know? According to the United Nations, 90% of the world’s electricity can and should come from renewable energy by 2050 (IRENA). Countries like Iceland are already leading the way, with nearly 100% of their electricity sourced from renewables today (UNEP). At the Energy Mobility Education Trust, we’re working to ensure South Africa is part of this global transformation. By investing in the education and skills development of young minds, we’re empowering future leaders to drive the renewable energy revolution and create a sustainable, equitable future for all.
