The University promotes collaborative research projects with external partners (businesses, public institutions, competitive clusters, industry associations, etc.). These collaborative projects help improve the socio-economic effects of research.

In this context, ULB helps companies and other organisations:

  • identify the academic skills they need to meet their innovation needs;
  • find funding and grants available for partnership-based research projects (Brussels-Capital Region, Wallonia, EU programmes);
  • build an application dossier for funding programmes;
  • take appropriate steps to protect intellectual property rights related to joint research results;
  • define a strategy to transfer research results to society.
