Class Features All of the following are Class Features of the Spellmonger prestige class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Spellmonger gains no proficiency with any weapon or armor. Spells per Day: When a new Spellmonger level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in a spellcasting class he belonged to before adding the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained, except for an increased effective level of spellcasting. If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a Spellmonger, he must decide which class he adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day. Learned Versatility: A spell monger through intense study of the very fabric of magic and the sheer volume of magic writing that pass though his hands has gleaned a fundamental truth, magic is magic. A Spellmonger that gets free spells known at a level gain must choose those spells from their previous class spell list (example a Spellmonger that was a wizard who levels up in Spellmonger must take his two free known spells out of the wizard spell list.) Also the Spellmonger must be high enough level to cast the spell and be one class level higher then the spells level to copy it. Haggle: A Spellmonger reduces the cost of all magic items, alchemical items, and crafting materials for either by 5%, he also gains a +1 per class level to diplomacy checks to haggle. Wholesale Inks: Beginning at second level a Spellmonger reduce the cost to create scrolls and copy spells by 5% this reduction increase by 5% for every even level in the class. Words of Power: At third level as a free action a Spellmonger may add his class level to the caster level of any scroll he uses in the round he activates this ability.
