Support and Utility Services –II

Within a hospital, different departments are responsible for providing the levels of
service that make a hospital run from environmental services, equipment
distribution, and linens to Biomed/clinical engineering, facilities, and many
others.
All these support services are necessary to keep the hospital going, so that hospital
staff can provide care and patients can receive treatment. These support services
also have an opportunity to drive operational improvement.
Departmental Roles
Often, departmental directors in support services must deal with the pressure to
do more with less. They may need to cut their operating expenses by 10% or reduce
headcount. These departments need the ability to increase the efficiency and
utilization of staff to meet the workload

Patient Care
A Patient Care Executive is a person who
specializes in providing help to the patient's
recovery. Caretaker Monitors the performance of
patient care services, compares it to government
agency standards, and makes adjustments as
necessary. He/She must have the ability to work
perfectly.
Guest relations
In a nutshell, a guest relations manager—also
frequently referred to as a guest relations
coordinator or guest relations specialist—is
tasked with a wide variety of responsibilities,
including: Managing guests' experiences.
Greeting and checking in guests as they arrive.
Ensuring guests have a pleasant experience.
Patient Counselling

Patient counseling refers to the process of providing


information, advice and assistance to help patients use
their medications appropriately. The information and

Patient Relations

A doctor–patient relationship is formed when a


doctor attends to a patient's medical needs
and is usually through consent. This
relationship is built on trust, respect,
communication, and a common understanding
of both the doctor and patients' sides
Outpatient relations
What is outpatient example?
Outpatient care, sometimes called ambulatory care,
is any service you receive without being admitted to
a hospital or for a stay shorter than 24 hours. Some
examples of outpatient services are X-rays and other
imaging procedures, minor surgeries, some cancer
treatments, and routine physicals
Front Office Operations

Checking accommodation availability and assigning it


to the guest. Collecting detail information while guest
registration. Creating a guest's account with the FO
accounting system. Issuing accommodation keys to the
guest
Reception

A Receptionist's duties and responsibilities


include greeting visitors, helping them navigate through
an office, and supplying them with refreshments as they
wait. In addition, they maintain calendars for
appointments, sort mail, make copies, and plan travel
arrangements
Healthcare

Health care or healthcare is the improvement of health


via the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, amelioration,
or cure of disease, illness, injury, and other physical
and mental impairments in people. Health care is
delivered by health professionals and allied health fields
