bulb operation.

When annunciator light test switch is selected to TEST

position, it:
 Adds a positive signal to the annunciator,
 Adds a ground signal to the annunciator lights equipped
with a permanent positive signal,
 Sends an input to the MFC; to activate all their
annunciator light outputs (fault...).
Note: During a light test, if some MFC modules are not
supplied, corresponding lights will not illuminate.

When the ANN LT switch 2LP is in "BRT" position (Open

circuit on LMU entry):
 The LMU sends a BRIGHT data to all the VMs, in order
to set each LED annunciator of the VMs in BRIGHT
illumination condition,
 The LMU lets pass the total supply current of each
dimmed LAMP annunciator.

When the ANN LT switch 2LP is in "DIM" position (GND on

LMU entry):
 The LMU sends a DIM data to all the VMs, in order to
set each LED annunciator of the VMs in DIM
illumination condition,
 The LMU reduces the supply current of each dimmed
LAMP annunciator.

results in power supply of every other
fluorescent light in a zigzag pattern (half
lighting of both side).
 If the 28VDC SVCE BUS is not supplied by
the electrical ground power unit via the
ground connector, the MIN CAB LT switch
(23VU overhead panel) provides power
supply of lateral lighting fluorescent lights
(minimum lighting).
 These lights are supplied through 28VDC
ESS BUS.
 As soon as engines are started up (or DC
GPU available and connected), the 28VDC
BUS1 and 28VDC BUS2 are supplied.

ATA 33 LIGHTS | 33.50 EMERGENCY LIGHTS Signs Panels
SIGNS PANELS:
The emergency system operation is controlled by means of a
ON/ARM/DISARM three-position switch, located on flight
compartment overhead panel (24VU).
33.50 EMERGENCY LIGHTS DESCRIPTION:
Signs Panels The emergency lighting system enables passenger and crew to exit
safely from the aircraft during emergency evacuation.
Emergency lights are supplied by emergency batteries.
In order to prevent inadvertent operation, the three-position switch
can be locked in any of the three positions.
Emergency lighting can also be controlled from cabin attendant panel
in passenger compartment, by pressing "EMERGENCY LIGHT"
pushbutton switch.
Action on this pushbutton switch, after removing safety guard,
overrides all positions of cockpit switch 2WL.
The three positions are:
 ARM
This is the normal switch position during flight.
The emergency lighting is automatically actuated as soon as both DC
generators are lost or when the standby bus voltage is below 18V.
Otherwise, the emergency lighting remains off and the 6V emergency
batteries are slowly charged when the power supply voltage is 28V
(STDBY BUS).
 ON
The emergency lighting comes on whether or not the power supply
voltage is 28V. (The 6V emergency batteries will be discharged only
when the onboard network voltage decreases below 18V).
Batteries are charged if power supply voltage is 28V.
 DISARM
The emergency lighting is off whether or not the power supply voltage
is 28V.
This is the normal position of the switch when the aircraft is on
ground.
The batteries are charged as long as the aircraft network power
supply voltage is 28V.
The DISARM caution light located on overhead panel 24VU comes
on if 28V power supply is available on aircraft network.

SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS:

CAUTION:
33.00 GENERAL  Do not drop solvent on other items. Use
Safety and Precautions only specifed cleaning materials and
solution or their equivalents.

 The surface protection could be damaged

if unspecified materials are used.

 It is important that the manufacturer's

mixing application and treatment
instructions are followed.

 Emergency light toggle switch drains

battery, when placed at arm position, with
BAT toggle switch "OFF".

WARNING:

 For safety reasons it is essential that the

following instructions are respected.

 Use care while testing or repairing,

because the anti-collision light system uses
high voltage.

 Before connecting (or disconnecting),

either power supply unit or light assembly,
wait approximatly 15 minutes to allow the
capacitors to discharge.

 When strobe lights are flashing, running

propeller may appear "motionless".
