5. Persons or classes of persons Those specified below, provided that the person driving holds a licence
entitled to drive: to drive the vehicle or has held and is not disqualified from holding or
obtaining such a licence:
The Policyholder may also drive in the UK, any private motor car not
owned by or registered to, and not hired, rented or leased to the
Policyholder, their employer or business partner. This cover only applies
if the Policyholder is still the owner or main driver of the insured vehicle
as identified by the registration mark above.
6. Limitations as to use: Personal Business Use (Policyholder and Spouse only) Class 1
Use for social domestic and pleasure purposes and use in person by the
Policyholder, Spouse or Civil Partner in connection with their business or
profession EXCLUDING use for hire or reward, racing, pacemaking,
speed testing, commercial travelling or use for any purpose in
connection with the motor trade.
Excluding use to secure the release of a motor vehicle, other than the
vehicle identified above by its registration mark, which has been seized
by, or on behalf of, any government or public authority.
I hereby certify that the policy to which this certificate relates satisfies the requirements of the relevant law
applicable in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the island of Guernsey, the island of Jersey and
the island of Alderney.
Important Notes
• This certificate gives evidence of insurance cover to comply with the relevant law.
• Unless stated otherwise in paragraph 5 this policy does not cover the policyholder to drive any other
private motor car, other than those listed in paragraph 1. If paragraph 5 allows the policyholder to drive a
car not belonging or hired to them, cover will be limited to the minimum needed under law. There is no
cover for loss or damage to the private motor car being driven.
• This insurance policy is valid in all countries in the European Union and in Gibraltar, Iceland, Liechtenstein,
Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and Andorra. Please note that the insurance given is the
minimum needed under the law of these countries.
• Advice to Third Parties – nothing contained in this certificate affects your right as a third party to make a
claim.
